Dentist Michael DeWan has been committed to providing high-quality, efficient and cost-effective dental care since 1985.

A long-time resident of Milwaukee, Mike received his bachelor's degree from the University of Milwaukee in 1979 and his DDS from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1985. He completed a dental residency at one of the Veterans Administration's largest regional medical centers in Kansas. Today, he lives in the Downer Avenue neighborhood and enjoys his short commute to work.

As a dentist, Mike is passionate about continuing to develop his professional skills in order to provide his patients with the most advanced care possible. He has taken numerous continuing education courses in endodontic therapy (root canal treatment) at Boston University, and in the study of occlusion and TMJ disorders at The Dawson Academy and The Piper Research Center in Florida.

In addition, he spends many hours each month in continuing education courses to stay abreast of rapidly changing technologies, learn about advances in dental aesthetics and cosmetic dentistry, and further his study of jaw mechanics. He is a member of the Greater Milwaukee Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry, the American Equilibration Society, and the Seattle Study Club and Milwaukee Study Club, which offer continuing studies in cosmetic and implant dentistry.

When he's not in the office, Mike loves to read, play guitar and stay active. It's not uncommon to see him biking or jogging through the neighborhood, even on the coldest of days! Mike also recently became a member of the Harley Davidson community, after shifting his focus from flying planes to riding motorcycles (though he has actually found that riding makes him want to fly planes even more). Mike also relishes participating in community activities on Milwaukee's East Side, whether it's sponsoring the health fair at the Milwaukee Catholic Home, volunteering at the Urban Ecology Center, or organizing the Lake Park 4th of July parade

You'll see Charlie around the front office and throughout the clinic, occasionally assisting Mike. She started at DeWan Dental Wellness as an assistant and has since found she really enjoys overseeing the ins and outs of the entire practice.

Charlie graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a degree in Anthropology and Spanish with a main focus in studying issues surrounding global health. Vision care has been her professional focus for many years, and she has worked for several local eye care health clinics.

Charlie lives on the East side, and when she's not here at the office or doing research, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, slacklining at the park, and playing the violin.

Hailing from Duluth, Minnesota, Haley is the first person you'll see when you come to our office. She will also be the one you'll be gabbing with on the phone when you schedule your appointment! She is responsible for checking your insurance and answering any questions you might have. Her boundless compassion and warm disposition truly shows she makes patient comfort top priority.

Prior to settling down in Milwaukee, Haley taught in Korea and Taiwan. She enjoys biking, cooking, and traveling!

Christina has been helping Dr. DeWan care for patients since 2006. She makes a point of treating each patient like family – if it's storming when you leave the dentist office, she will call to make sure you arrived home safely.

A big baseball fan, Christina watches all the Brewers games and tries to head to the stadium every chance she gets. But when the Phillies are in town, she flips loyalties!

She grew up in Northern Wisconsin and now lives in West Allis with her darling green-eyed cat. She tries to get up north as often as possible to visit her young nieces.
