After we make an appointment for your first visit, we will send you registration materials so that you can complete them prior to your visit.

Your first visit

For an emergency visit, we will address your primary concern by taking a few x-rays and getting the problem under control. For your first routine visit, we typically complete the following in about 90 minutes to two hours:

  • A full mouth set of digital x-rays. These are x-rays of all your teeth and help us determine the total health of your teeth, gums and bones. The bitewing x-rays are included in the full mouth x-rays and help us see decay between your teeth. We use a digital x-ray system which reduces radiation by 1/3 and provides almost instant diagnostics.
  • A prophylaxis (commonly called a cleaning). Plaque and calculus are removed from your teeth.
  • A comprehensive exam. We listen to your concerns, review the full mouth x-rays with you, present a video tour of your dentition, chart the existing condition of your teeth, chart areas of concern, measure your gum tissues, screen for cancer, analyze the aesthetics of your smile, evaluate TMJ (your jaw joint) health with Doppler ultrasound technology, and chart occlusion (the way your teeth come together).

If no further treatment is needed, we can schedule your next routine visit for an exam and cleaning. If further treatment is needed, we either schedule the treatment or schedule a treatment conference where a treatment plan is presented with written details. For your planning purposes, we provide complete financial commitment information prior to undertaking any treatment.

So that you may plan, fees for routine visits follow: Full mouth x-rays $128; routine cleaning $75; comprehensive exam (your first) $78, routine exam (all exams after your first one) $45; bitewing x-rays (x-rays of your molars to detect decay between teeth) $60. Because our list of services is quite extensive, please call us for more specific fees.

If you need more time to talk

When your treatment is a bit more complex, we schedule a complementary treatment conference to review the diagnosis and the recommended treatment phases.

You'll know what to expect

Prior to completing treatment, we provide you with a written treatment plan which will outline the treatment, the amount of time for each appointment and the costs of each phase. If you are interested, we review a variety of financing options including CARE CREDIT and Mastercard/Visa. If you'd like more information now about financing, go to CareCredit.com.

Changing an appointment

We try to carefully set up appointments to accommodate your schedule. If your needs change, we appreciate as much advance notice as possible. We kindly request at least 48 hours notice within the business week.
